This website is available for your use, according to the terms and conditions written in this agreement; it includes, our terms, warranties, limited liability, disclaimer and privacy policies, and other conditions (“Agreement”). By using this website, you agree that the exclusions, limitations of liability and all terms set out in this Agreement are reasonable. If you do not think the terms are reasonable, do not use this website.

Website Owner

This website is owned and operated by Canvasback, Inc., a Minnesota corporation, that is also referred to as “us” and “we” in this Agreement.

Scope and Purpose of this Agreement

This Agreement is a contract, and it governs your use of this website. Disagreement with any part of this Agreement prohibits you from using the website. Canvasback, Inc reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We recommend that you check for changes each time before you use the services and content of www.canvasback.com. You are governed by this Agreement, including any changes, whether or not you have reviewed them, so please take the time to review.

Manufacturing and Shipping

Each Canvasback product is made to order and manufactured in Spring Park, Minnesota. Our current production time is 10 days. All orders are usually sent via USPS Priority Mail. If you need an alternate carrier, please let us know.

Shipping is FREE to all contiguous states on orders equal to and over $100.

Orders less than $100:

*Shipping outside the US does not include customs, duties, tariffs other applicable taxes and fees, which are solely your responsibility.

Returned Shipments

If shipments are returned as undeliverable for any reason, Canvasback will credit the purchase price of your product less the cost of shipping. If you ask us to re-ship, you are responsible for re-shipping charges.

Order Cancellation

If you cancel your order before it is shipped, we will refund the entire amount of your payment. If you cancel after your order has shipped, we will refund the purchase price less shipping after the returned item has been received by Canvasback.

Return Policy

We take pride in our quality workmanship and make each Canvasback liner by hand. As a handmade product, there may be some variations. If you are not satisfied with your Canvasback product for any reason, email us immediately at: [email protected] or call 952-426-9490 to receive return shipping instructions. We will provide instructions on how you may return the product for a full refund of your purchase price within 30 days of receipt, provided it is in the original condition.

Note: Sometimes a phone call will help answer questions on how your specific liner fits in your vehicle and make sure the install is correct.

Products with manufacturing defects will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you. If you think your product has a manufacturing defect, email or call us immediately, and in any event no later than five days from discovery of the defect, at: [email protected] or 952-426-9490 to receive return shipping instructions.

Manufacturing defects include, for example:

  • Seam separation
  • Fabric failure not due to user misuse
  • Velcro missing or detached

Incorrect orders will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Customers who order incorrectly will be responsible for all return shipping costs, both to our facility and back out again. 

Repair Service

Please remember that liners are made of fabric and they are not indestructible, as rugged as they may be. If you have damaged your liner and need repair or have questions about repair, please email or call us at [email protected] or 952-426-9490 with the details of the problem. We are always happy to discuss cost-effective repairs.

Rescued Liner

Rescued Liners are sold “as is.” You may inspect and return within 10 days. If you decide to return your Rescued Liner, you may do so, provided it is unused and in its original condition (return shipping cost is customers responsibility).

Special Request Custom Orders

If you have a unique situation and a special request that is outside of our standard product line, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Costs for special orders will vary depending on the time and difficulty of the project. You will be given a quote, and payment in full is required, before we begin production. Custom orders may not be returned or exchanged. If, during the production process, you change your mind on your order we will work with you to continue to develop changes, but no refunds are made and payment is required for overages (including shipping) due to design changes after the original order is quoted.

Warranty and Limited Liability

Limited Warranty

Canvasback is proud to offer our customers a Limited Warranty on its product. Canvasback warrants that your product(s) will be free from manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship for 6 months from purchase. This warranty is nontransferable and proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. This warranty does not apply to Rescued Liners.

Examples of conditions that are NOT considered defects in materials or workmanship, and NOT covered by warranty are:

  • Fabric tearing or ripping by sharp or foreign objects;
  • Conditions arising from normal wear and tear;
  • Damage from tampering with any part of the product;
  • Damage from misuse or abuse of the product or component;
  • Damage from animal chewing;
  • Damage from laundering or dry-cleaning;
  • Fabric fading due to sunlight or age;
  • Fabric stains or zipper separation due to misuse; and
  • Other damage that is not the result of defects in materials or workmanship and not listed above.

Except for the limited warranty as provided above, all products are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limited Liability

In no event are Canvasback, Inc, its officers and employees liable for any incidental, indirect, special, consequential, punitive or special damages of any kind, or any other damages to person or property whatsoever, including, without limitation, medical, lost wages, damages resulting from loss of profit, loss of contracts, loss of reputation, goodwill, data, information, income, anticipated savings or business relationships, whether or not Canvasback, Inc has been advised of the possibility of such damage, arising out of or in connection with the use of a Canvasback product or this website, except for personal injury or death of a person caused by the negligence of Canvasback or a defective product.

In any event, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, the total liability of Canvasback, Inc, its officers and employees for any and all claims, losses, costs or damages, including attorneys’ fees and costs shall not exceed the total amount of the product purchase price.

Exceptions

Nothing in this Agreement notice limits or excludes liability for anything for which it would not be lawful for Canvasback, Inc to exclude.

Resolving Disputes

If we have a disagreement or dispute that we are unable to resolve between us, we both agree to continue to try to resolve our dispute in good faith. In this case, the person with the unresolved issue will provide the other a “Notice of Dispute.” This Notice of Dispute will include a statement that outlines the cause of the grievance.

Within 20 days of receipt of the Notice of Dispute, we will meet at a mutually agreed upon time and place, electronically or in person, to work, in good faith, to resolve the dispute. Additional meetings shall take place as necessary and as mutually agreed upon.

Neither one of us can begin formal proceedings until we have concluded, in good faith, that a reasonable and mutually acceptable resolution is unlikely. Requests for injunctive and other equitable relief are exempted from this requirement.

If we are unable to resolve the dispute within a reasonable period not exceeding 60 days of receipt of Notice of Dispute, we will submit the dispute for non-binding mediation by a single mediator who is competent in the issues involved. Mediation will take place in accordance with Minnesota law, utilizing rules and procedures in place at the time of the dispute. All costs associated with mediation are paid equally between us.
